About Foundry Home
A foundry is a place where individual materials are precisely mixed in order to become more than what they would have been alone. Stronger. Tougher. Lighter. Brighter. Bits of minerals and metals, blended and melted and cooled until something new, something more useful or more beautiful is born.
At Foundry Home, we take these ideas to heart. We want to take the individual pieces of your home, the parts that you love and the ones you’d love to change, and build them into a space you crave spending time in. We want your home to feel like YOU. Not the builder. Not the last owners. Just you.
Come sit at our table, and let’s build YOUR dream home together.
About Lauren
Once there was a little girl with a big imagination. She dreamed of building her own wings to fly and imagined the candy chutes she built (out of cardboard paper towel tubes) were big enough to carry people to wherever they wanted to be. She loved to change her room, so she moved and moved and moved things around, enjoying the freshness that each change would bring.
Once, life intruded, and the little girl forgot the joy of those dreams. She became an engineer and worked at a big forge shop, where she helped make airplane parts all day. It was interesting work, but she didn’t fit well. Women in technical roles often don’t. As she learned who she had to be for this work and realized how much she didn’t like that person, she began to dream again. She dreamed of creativity and, once again, of carrying people to wherever they wanted to be.
That little girl, now grown woman, took a long time to learn what she wanted. What filled the cup of the woman and fulfilled the dreams of that once spirited little girl. She found design - a combination of the beloved technical and the newly (or renewed-ly) beloved artistic. She took class after class, bending her mind into new shapes, achieved her master’s degree, and came out of it…ready.
